In November 2016 we moved into a suite of rooms within the Osborne House Kitchen Courtyard (which is not far from the old rooms and conveniently located opposite the public toilets). We have built up a members library and books can be signed out for a nominal charge. Since 1990s our members library has been opened weekly and used by members and students (by request) for research.

Since its inception the friends has acquired by donation small artefacts, prints and ephemera. In 1991 members purchased a Victorian model of the House for £180, which is on display in the Friends of Osborne sitting room.

Plea for volunteers
The Friends of Osborne library has a wonderful selection of books about Victoria and Albert, their descendants as well as Osborne House, historic events and many other Royal Family members. While visiting the library you can enjoy a tea or coffee and chat with other members in the sitting room or try and help complete the jigsaw of Osborne House.

We are looking for more volunteers to help once a month assisting in the library and making refreshments for the visiting members. If you are interested contact Allison Rogers on 616634

The Friends Rooms and Library are currently open 10:00 – 12:00 every Thursday even when the house is not open. Additional opening dates can be arranged.
All members are welcome; there is a comfortable sitting room and refreshments are available.
